Morpeth Road Primary Academy takes very seriously the continuing possibility of bullying incidents being present in school. Because of this we have strived and achieved, in June 2014, the accreditation for Anti-Bullying.
This achievement highlights the importance we place on every child’s happiness and feeling of safety within school.
To get this award we had to evidence the work we undertake to prevent and deal with bullying. This work includes the pupils doing lessons and workshops on what bullying is and how to prevent it. The pupils are always reminded what they can do if they feel they are being bullied and who they can go to.
Our school also takes part in an annual Anti-Bullying week which takes place every November.
The Anti-Bullying ethos is embedded throughout the whole school setting which in turn shows the commitment we have to making sure a zero tolerance approach to bullying is adhered to.
Our file of evidence is available to look at upon request.
